This new 18” x 7.5” 5-spoke replacement wheel style, referred to by Volkswagen as "Detroit" wheels, was designed for the 2005-2013 VW Jetta, Golf, GTI, & Beetle. They have been used on a range of vehicles—they were standard on many GTI models for the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013. These VW wheels come in two stock finishes; Machined w/ Charcoal & Machined w/ Black. These "Detroit" wheels are one of the most popular and stylish Volkswagen wheel designs. These VW Detroit Rims for a Golf, GTI, Jetta, or Beetle are made from the same aluminum A356 Alloy as the stock OEM wheel and even hold the JWL structural certification. Used primarily in winter
Was worried it would corrode it not being a stock wheel and I live in Minnesota we get some nasty winters sometimes, but I have changed from summer wheels to winter for 3 years now and I cant tell the difference between my stock ones and the replacement.
Looks great 3 years after purchased
No corrosion
No issues

Impressed With Product
Had a terrible curb rash incident and wanted to replace the rim. Wheelership was there with the rim I wanted, and at the best price. The first rim I ordered I made a mistake and ordered the wrong rim. No problem. They replaced the rim with the correct one, without issue. I had the replacement rim within a week (coming from East to California). If I need another rim, The Wheelership is where I'll come. Excellent service!

Cosmetic
These wheels look just like the original Detroit wheels. I only ordered one wheel and it had marks on the face of the wheel. I tried wiping off the marks to no availability. I contacted wheelership and they offered me a replacement or full refund. I emailed them a picture of the wheel and they said that have not seen this issue before. I ended up going with a refund as I changed my mind and decided to save for aftermarket rims. They emailed me a prepaid shipping label and I got my refund about a week later. I am impressed it's their customer service and would order from them again.
